Sweet Travels connected with several food enthusiasts from Sydney who were more than game to share their inside scoops with us this month. Their photography is absolutely stunning so get comfortable and enjoy. This is an edited version of our conversation with @fourloveoffood .
@fourloveoffood is a fairly new and exciting blog consisting of four Sydneysiders eating their way around town. We capture every moment while sharing places we love with our fellow foodies and followers from around the world. The majority of our feed focuses on places to visit and recommendations on where to eat and drink in our beautiful city.
Since I Left You, located in Pyrmont, is a small neighborhood bar with a cool atmosphere, music performances, and good drinks.
Left of Field or “Lof rhodes” is a small café overlooking the water, not too far from the city itself. How picture perfect are these hotcakes!
Hacienda offers perfect views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. It is an amazing location with great bar food and drinks.
Black Star Pastry is located in the heart of Newtown a place full of quirkiness, colors and close to the city. You can not pass up the watermelon cake (they also have a soft serve version…yum). Sydney, and Australia in general, is also known for its coffee’s.
What better way to enjoy Sydney’s views than by overlooking the city, surrounded by greenery and an incredible atmosphere while dining at The Butler Sydney.
Zeus Street Greek has many locations in and outside of the city serving delicious Greek food.
Catalina Rose Bay is fancy with a gorgeous setting and water views.
Mejico Restaurant is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We love their fresh guacamole, fun atmosphere and great food.
Grandmas offers homestyle Mediterranean food and it is very child-friendly. They even allow children to partake in activities and cooking.
Adriano Zumbo has many locations throughout Sydney and is most famous for their modern desserts.
The Picnic Burwood, situated in the middle of Burwood Park opposite Westfield Shopping Center, is a very popular restaurant. A twist between Lebanese and Australian dining, it is very family friendly too.
Bar Machiavelli, located in Ruchcutters Bay Sydney, offers a great drink selection, seasonal menu, and a backdrop of images of famous celebrities in a warehouse.
Harry’s, right across from one of our most famous beaches, Bondi Beach, is a daily brunch restaurant.
Osan Ramen Sydney is our favorite ramen place located inside the food court in Haymarket in the city.
Betty’s Burgers is a classic burger shack with tasty burgers in Darling Harbour.
Bar Luca is our go-to burger joint in Sydney. The image below is the Blame Canada, the most delicious and juiciest tasting burger in town.
Miss America’s Diner is as American as it gets here in Sydney…delicious burgers.
Meet Gerard is a small coffee shop with a tasty breakfast or brunch. It is close to the city and so many other amazing sights.
Concrete Jungle. The name says it all, a clean and modern look showcasing incredible dishes…there is even a blue smoothie bowl.
Honey Crème Sydney is a premium soft serve ice cream spot serving a variety of flavors made with organic local honey.
D21 Ice Cream…The image speaks for itself. It’s cute, Instagramable and tasty.
Bay Vista has two locations in Sydney one of which is in Parramatta, Sydney’s second city. This place is absolutely amazing. It has endless options of desserts and savory options too.
Jangtabal Korean BBQ. All over Sydney, especially in Strathfield and Chinatown, there are countless numbers of Korean BBQ restaurants. It is an absolute must if you have not experienced this type of dining. Jangtabal, in particular, is quite rugged and less formal which is what we love about it.
Holy Basil, located in Parramatta (Sydney’s Second City), is furnished like a royal palace with gold and purple hues. Eating Thai like a royal could not get any better. The food is amazing!
Ragu Pasta and Wine Bar is located in the Westfield Shopping Center.
The Sydney Opera House offers a spectacular view and stunning architecture both inside and out. Situated right on the harbor, this stunning building is surrounded by a bar overlooking the harbor. There are many performances held at the Opera House such as musicals, theatre, and orchestra performances. This photo was taken during the Vivid Light Festival held each Autumn.

Milsons Point is a suburb of Sydney and worth exploring.
