Bucknell University
Bucknell University is a private liberal arts college with a strong engineering school located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. There are approximately 3,600 undergraduate students attending Bucknell and athletes compete in the Patriot League conference.

Mackenna is a foodie from Maplewood, New Jersey who has a discerning palate and knows good food when she sees it! She is currently a Sophomore at Bucknell University and she was excited to share her inside scoops with Sweet Travels.
Fun fact about Bucknell: Not far down the road is the famous Lewisburg Penitentiary or "The Big House". In 2009 The Big House was named a Special Management Unit intended to house the most violent and disruptive inmates in the Bureau of Prisons. Well-known inmates include the boss of the Gambino crime family, the founder of the Vietnamese-Born to Kill gang, and several members of the Lucchese crime family. It even housed Al Capone until his parole in 1939.
Sweet Bites:
Favorite Ice Cream Parlour and Flavor: Lewisburg Freez. Here you can get soft serve with almost any candy or sauce mixed in. The best part, however, is getting something "in the hole". At the Freez they make a hollow cylinder of soft serve in a cup and then you can get your choice of fudge or candy in the hole. My personal favorite is vanilla soft serve with Reese's peanut butter cups and hot fudge in the hole! Be careful, though, the Freez is only open from March through September!
Bakery and Favorite Sweet: Amami Kitchen and Espresso Bar, there is not really a great bakery so whenever I want something sweet I usually go for one of the scones at Amami. They are always fresh and delicious.
Where to Grab a Coffee: Amami Kitchen is the perfect place to grab a quick cup of quality coffee or espresso. Their food is also amazing.
Restaurants:
Burger Joint and Fries: The Lewisburg Towne Tavern. While this place is a bit of a dive, their burgers are perfect for when you are craving a quality burger and fries. The sweet potato fries and onion rings are also worth mentioning.
Diner and Favorite Dish: The chocolate chip pancakes at Ard's Farm!
Hottest Mexican Spot and Recommended Plate: Mercado Burrito. I personally have not been but here but I hear amazing things about their nachos!
Sushi Spot and Your Go to Roll: Sushihanna. The Rainbow roll
Breakfast Spot with a Friend or Date: Amami. All of their breakfast and lunch food is delicious!
Where you would love your parents to take you for Parents weekend: Elizabeth's!
Things to do:
Where to go for Yoga, Exercise Classes, or the Gym: Lewisburg is such a beautiful town with the Susquehanna River running right through it, so the best place to exercise is outdoors.
Best Dive Bar: The Bull Run Tap House and The Lewisburg Towne Tavern are both fun dives. Go to Bull Run for Bull Dip and wings and head to Towne Tavern for burgers!
