Tess - Uzo Aduba, aka Crazy Eyes from Orange is the New Black, went to BU and ran on the track team!
Adrienne - Martin Luther King, Jr. is a BU alum! In addition, Alexander Graham Bell (the inventor of the telephone) was a BU professor from 1874 - 1879, and his research was funded by BU!
Favorite Ice Cream Parlour and Flavor:
Tess - Fōmū’s avocado and cold brew flavors are incredible, and vegan!
Adrienne - J. P. Licks - Brownie Batter, Emack and Bolio's - Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip, or Toscanini's - Malted Vanilla. Best frozen yogurt is 100% Cafe 472 on Commonwealth Avenue.
Bakery and Favorite Sweet:
Tess - The “Oreo” that Flour Bakery makes is hands-down my favorite treat, I grab one every time I go.
Adrienne - Tatte Bakery & Cafe! Their pastries are all amazing - I'm a fan of their croissants, shortbread cookies, and tarts.
Where to Grab a Coffee or Tea:
Tess - The recently-opened Kohi Coffee Company in Boston Landing is awesome - highly recommend getting an oat milk latte.
Adrienne - Pavement Coffeehouse or Blue State Coffee.
Vegetarian Hot Spot:
Tess - Grasshopper Vegan Restaurant in Allston is right next to my apartment and I go way too often. Try the No-Name, it’s basically a vegan version of sweet and sour chicken.
Adrienne - Whole Heart Provisions or Veggie Galaxy.
Tess - La Befana in Allston is also next to my apartment and a go-to. Grab a slice - they’re roughly $4 and are a quarter of an entire pizza.
Adrienne - Otto Pizza, either bacon, mashed potato and scallion pie or roasted pineapple, bacon and red pepper flake pie.
Diner and Favorite Dish:
Tess - Busy Bee in Brookline is such a fun diner. It’s cash only, super small, and serves all of the classic diner food you could dream of.
Adrienne - Allston Diner, great vegan options!
Hottest Mexican Spot and Recommended Plate:
Tess - Loco Taqueria and Oyster Bar in South Boston has incredible tacos and guacamole. The carne asada ones are my favorite.
Adrienne - El Pelon, any burrito. For a more formal restaurant, Temazcal in the Seaport district.
Where you would love your parents to take you for Parents weekend:
Tess - My parents actually just visited and took me to Gaslight and it was incredible. Also if you live in an apartment, definitely don’t waste the opportunity to have your parents take you grocery shopping so that you don’t have to carry all your bags alone.

Where to go for Yoga, Exercise Classes, or the Gym:
Tess - I took an intro pole dancing class at Boston Pole Fitness in Allston and it was super hard, but it was fun and I’d definitely recommend trying it out!
Adrienne - CorePower Yoga.
Nightspot for music:
Tess - I love going to shows at any of the local venues, but The Sinclair is definitely my favorite spot to go. There’s always something happening!
Adrienne - The Beehive, an amazing restaurant in the South End with live jazz music!
Best Dive Bar:
Tess - I’m not 21, but my boyfriend is and he loves going to The Silhouette with our friends.
Adrienne - Not a dive bar, but Hopewell Bar and Kitchen! Tons of games and a pretty solid drink selection.
Where is your favorite spot on campus to hang?
Tess - The GSU is always a good spot to grab food and hang! If you’re looking for a study spot, I like studying in the COM lounge or the Questrom library.
Adrienne - Probably the BU Beach/Marsh Plaza/George Sherman Union area because there's a lot of outdoor seating and it's right by the Esplanade.
Where do you want to go on spring break?
Tess - My friends and I are planning on going to Montreal this year! Definitely not the typical warm destination, but it’s perfect since I wanted to be at home for a few days and my house is roughly an hour away.
Hotel or B&B recommendation:
Tess - My parents have always stayed at the Marriott at Copley Place since I was a kid. It’s in a perfect location.

Tess - Just wanted to add that my favorite restaurant in Boston right now hands-down ia Coreanos in Allston. Their food is Korean fusion and it’s SO GOOD. I go so often that they’ve started to recognize me and I can’t recommend it enough.
Adrienne - The Barking Crab has great seafood and drinks! And there are lots of Thai options too - some favorite restaurants include Brown Sugar, Super 88, NudPob, and Noodle Street!
